Westside Waste Management is a disposal and recycling organization dedicated to providing exceptional services to Buttonwillow, Lost Hills, Tupman, Valley Acres, Dustin Acres, McCittrick, Derby Acres, Buena Vista Estates, Fellows, and the cities of Maricopa and Taft. We take pride in keeping our communities clean through hard work, continuous innovation, and community outreach. Westside Waste Management provides waste hauling services for trash, recycling, organics, and bulky waste pickup to residential customers.

Westside Waste Management offers Rolloff services for Residential, Commercial, and Multi-Family customers.

We provide waste hauling services to communities along the west side of Kern County including Taft, Buttonwillow, Lost Hills, Maricopa, Tupman, Valley Acres, Dustin Acres, Derby Acres, Buena Vista Estates, and McKittrick.
when is my pickup day?

Why Wasn't My Container Picked Up?

  • Lids must be closed to prevent spillage.
  • Containers need to be placed at the curb facing the street, on your service day by 5 AM and have 5 ft of clearance.
  • Contamination (see info page).
  • Non-payment
  • Container must be placed in front of the residence it belongs to. Pulling can across the street will not result in a pickup.

    If your service day falls on December 25th, your service will be rescheduled to the following business day.

  • New years Day

    If your service day falls on January 1st, your service will be rescheduled to the following business day.

  • independance day

    If your service day falls on July 4th, your service will be rescheduled to the following business day.

  • Thanksgiving

    If your service day falls on Thanksgiving, your service will be rescheduled to the following business day.

Announcements

  • Residential 3 Cart System will start for our City of Taft customers on January 2nd, 2022. We will be switching from sharing 300 gallon container in your alley, to each residence having 3 curbside containers. One for trash, one for recycling, and one for organics/green waste.
  • Starting July 5th, 2021 all residential trash services will be one time per week. This change will take place in all our service areas, including Universal and Non-Universal customers.
  • Starting July 1st, 2023 County Commercial customers will transition to a 3 container system to comply with California law SB 1383.
